god damn it. thanks for the responses. i guess ill mail anet and wait if they update it in the future... there are several ways to get to level 20; death leveling monsters, and doing quests than cancelling. neither is/are an exploit (to gian protector of ascalon, you have to repeatedly kill charr than cancel the quest, and repeat. this is not an exploit in the least). i actually used neither of those, but i dont want to give it away. this really sucks.

Is it possible to take "armor ferry" to Consulate docks, and then get in mission?
Or will he be kicked for not having done the other missions and quests? I guess he's need to join at least ONE other person doing the mission, since he won't be able to activate it.... |

no, you have to have done the main quests that trigger the missions. i tried entering the mission with a guildie and couldnt until he accepted reward for the main quest before that mission.

If it isn't an exploit then it's working as intended - no need to fix anything.
At one time Anet considered hunting Charr in pre-sear an exploit - remember when they made the creatures quit gaining exp on your death? It wasn't until very recently that their attitude on that changed and I rather suspect that the novelty of having a level 20 in pre-sear had more to do with that than anything. In almost every case where something like this is found, they close it. I rather suspect that you also understand this, hence not telling your "secret" - there is no novelty in having a level 20 on Istan, you are already one in a sea of them. Maybe you will get lucky and they will increase some rewards - IMO you should be able to progress the game by doing quests only anyway. |

i am 100% positive how i got to level 20 was not an exploit, and i wasnt trying to be cute, and prove how much better i am. it was simply convenience, and did not take up a large amount of time. im going to keep my character and wander around triple-checking for quests..

if i am not wrong the bounty given was 2X exp .
that should mean you can still go out and get points just without the exp bounty. in your case the only one who could tell is you from going out and killing things that used to give points and dont now. only suggestion i have |

Complete Nightfall Quests I'm going to have to throw the B.S. Flag here! 1. If you only complete the Istan Primary Quests (without any Sunspear bounty(ies)) = 185 Sunspear Points Awarded (Second Spear). If you are level 20 (without the rank of Second Spear or Sunspear Captain), I would have to assume you: 1. Used another account or had a friend to pull you through Istan. Maybe you want the "Survivor title"?Regardless, I do not see how you can have completed EVERY quest without gaining Rank of Sunspear Captain. If you are sincerely stuck, then I suggest you provide more details or voice your concern with http://support.plaync.com. Good Luck. |

So the NPC at the shrine north of Joknapur Diggings won't give you a bounty? How about heading NW in Zehlon Reach onto the northern peninsula? There are a bunch of shrines spread out in the Zehlon Reach area, which can be accessed from Joknapur, Astralarium and the Cliffs of Dojhok.
I noticed that when my char got to level 8 that the NPC outside of Kamadan wouldn't give me bounties when I left from Kamadan, but that all of the other ones in the Plains area would if I entered from a different location. Maybe there's one in Zehlon Reach that will. Worth a shot. |

Keep in mind, there are several quests given by NPCs outside of towns and outposts. I'm not sure what triggers them, but there are some in the southeast island chains that I beleive you may be able to run to. And in those "bog lands" where all the damned skale are...shooing away some troublesome flamingos comes to mind.
My advice, since you're lvled up and all...run the map edgewise...like a maze. Follow a left hand or right hand route and spiral out ans see if there are any portals you may have missed and areas containing NPCs you haven't met yet...pretty much the strategy I used to get every % possible for my map title. All you have to do is find an NPC with a quest for you hidden away somewhere in an explorable area...hopefully, they don't have to be triggered by what you don't have. Hope you make it....be a shame to have to delete your character. |

Looking through some of the quests, it seems like doing all the ones in the areas you have access to should bring you to around 200 Sunspear points, possibly more.
What I wonder is why you went through the trouble of somehow becoming level 20 while completing as little of the game as possible. There's no title that I know of and you're not going to be special since there's no pre-searing equivalent. It must have taken forever too, especially without bounties. Were you going for the "Sunspear Slacker" title? |

1. If you just follow ONLY the Primary Quests (185 Sunspear Points)By doing both Primary and Ancillary Quests (without taking any Bounty), you will have sufficient amount of Sunspear Points to complete every mission on Istan Island and will be able to go to the mainland. If you are still having problems, why not play the game normally and you will discover that you can progress through the game very effectively. |

lol @ throttle, it wasnt so much the accomplishment as it was convenience. ill admit i didnt really think it through, although i didnt realise i couldnt get blessings and the quests werent enough to put me over 175..
chief, i dont want to get into anything with you, but your wrong. i know your wrong, actually im positive your wrong because my character is stuck at 145 points. you obviously misread the post where i said i did every quest in every area, because obviously if i did every quest i would get much more than 175 points. you just calculated the available points wrong. i also love how you make braod sweeping generalizations about how your supossed to play the game. i bought it and ill play anyway i see fit. |

until you show facts that show Chief is wrong and you are right, like lets say a picture of your character at lvl 20 with your 145 sunspear points then there is no reason for me (and for him) to believe you. |

I wonder, is it possible to make a Nightfall character and then move to one of the earlier chapters and level up there, thus becoming level 20 with very little progression through Istan?

maybe because you are not telling how did you do it, it could help prevent others from doing the same thing, or perhaps allow others to test it and see if it really works.
but about the pic, its too blurry. and how come you reduced your title window? |

i reduced it because the other titles arent worth seeing (10% explored, 1/20 prot., pathetic lucky/unlucky titles...). everything you asked for is right up there.i blurred it because i didnt want people to see the ign(i really dont care actually).

That is a total of 165 points possible. (Chief, he can't do primary quests that require Jokanur Diggings, nor can he do quests requiring a Sunspear Rank of Second Spear or higher.) There are a few ways to get to level 20 at that point, so how it was done is irrelevant. Quote:
